Grow Hillsboro – Existing Business Retention and Expansion Program

The City of Hillsboro’s Business “Grow Hillsboro” program uses a customer-oriented approach to economic development designed to link businesses to resources throughout the community. The program features the resources not only of the City of Hillsboro (COH), but also other government agencies, our private-sector partners and corporations. Businesses can receive assistance in workforce training and recruitment, exporting, financing, and more.

The Grow Hillsboro program is targeted to industrial and office businesses in our key industries (Semiconductor and Electronics, Clean Technology, Biosciences, Advanced Manufacturing, and Software/Information Technology).

Purpose

  • To demonstrate to existing firms that the community appreciates their contribution to the local economy
  • To help businesses solve their problems and challenges and gain awareness of available resources
  • To identify opportunities for Economic Development to help business thrive in today’s global marketplace
  • To improve communication between the community, local government and businesses

One of the most important elements of the Grow Hillsboro program is the visits made to our local businesses. The Economic Development Department proactively reaches out to company decision makers to schedule visitation meetings to help us learn more about your business, and to thank you for locating your business in Hillsboro. We cannot say this enough, especially in today’s economic climate. If you would like to schedule a company visit contact Daniel Rittatore at 503-681-5267 or daniel.rittatore@hillsboro-oregon.gov.
