HALO (Hillsboro Area Lacrosse Organization)
HALO is a community wide lacrosse league for boys and girls in 1st - 8th grade. It is a cooperative effort between the Glencoe, Century, Liberty and Hilhi lacrosse clubs and administered by Hillsboro Parks & Recreation. HALO is committed to growing the sport of lacrosse within the Hillsboro area by providing recreational experiences for the participants in a safe and supervised environment.

Spring Season (1st & 2nd Grade)
This coed program for 1st and 2nd graders will develop and emphasize basic skills of catching, throwing, cradling and ground ball pick-up. There is no contact at this level and players will use soft balls. Registration includes a stick and shirt.
Spring Season (3rd - 8th Grade)
HALO teams will be formed for boys and girls in 3rd - 8th grade. Practices will start the first week of March. Games start the first week of April. The boys and girls regular season ends on June 4 with an end-of-season tournament. HALO teams will compete against each other and against teams from other area youth lacrosse programs. Practices will be held at Hillsboro school and park locations during the week. Games will be played on Saturdays in Hillsboro and the Portland area. There will be an opportunity for some players to participate on a select team in addition to their regular team throughout the season. Extra fees and practices will be required for those chosen to be on the select teams.

Equipment & Uniforms
Team jerseys are included in the participation fees. Boys may be asked to provide their own reversible mesh practice jersey. The colors should be dark on one side and white on the other side.
The following equipment is required:
Girls - Stick, goggles, mouth piece.
Boys - Stick, helmet, shoulder pads, elbow pads, gloves, cup, mouth piece. Soccer/Football cleats are recommended.
HALO will not be renting equipment.
