The City of Hillsboro Parks & Recreation Department is an award-winning and nationally accredited parks and recreation agency. We are dedicated to providing diverse, innovative and exceptional recreational and cultural opportunities that enrich the lives of our citizens. Each year thousands of residents enjoy our parks, playgrounds, sports fields, recreational programs and our facilities – Jackson Bottom Wetlands Preserve, Walters Cultural Arts Center, Shute Park Aquatic and Recreation Center, Tyson Recreation Center, Outdoors In, Hillsboro Community Senior Center and the Gordon Faber Recreation Complex, where the newest member of the Parks & Recreation family resides – Ron Tonkin Field. Seeing the diverse range of people enjoying themselves and staying active because of what we do is the single most important highlight of our year.
We offer hundreds of programs year-round for all ages including recreational, educational, youth development and cultural classes, adult sports leagues and elementary and middle school after-school programs and summer camp.
