We are all connected to certain places, whether that place be a physical location, a fond memory, an ancestral home, or a familial wish. While pondering questions such as “Where do you feel at home?” or “Is there a place of great importance to you, that makes you feel like you really belong?” artists of the group High Fiber Diet have created original fiber-based artworks within this theme of place. A wide array of sizes and techniques, each artwork has been selected by a panel of jurors and curated with these concepts in mind.
High Fiber Diet is a group of fiber artists committed to advancing their art professionally and producing annual exhibits. Meetings may focus on current and upcoming exhibits, art techniques, curating, elements and principles of design, and sources of inspiration.
On display through March 14 at the Walters Cultural Arts Center.
The Walters Gallery is free and open to the public Monday through Thursday from 9 am to 9 pm and on Fridays from 9 am to 5 pm.
