A Frightfully Fun Event

A Frightfully Fun Event at Jackson Bottom Wetlands Preserve

Come in costume (or not) and join an all-new event with fun, exciting programs for all ages!

Get creative with Halloween crafts, meet a variety of creepy and crawly reptiles and amphibians, explore the Wicked Wetlands Trick-or-Treat Trail, and so much more!

With mad scientist shows, games, and prizes for all, this is one Halloween event you don’t want to miss!  

$5 per person, ages 3 and under are free
No Registration Required

11 am – 4 pm 

  • Reptile Meet & Greet: Get hands on with snakes 
  • Crafts & Games: Enjoy seasonal crafts and carnival games 
  • Trick or Treat Trail: Walk this festive trail with prize stations 
  • X-Ray Science: Explore the new light table to look inside local creatures
  • Library on the Loose: Get free books and activities 

11:30 am & 1:30 pm 

  • Story Time: Enjoy stories features themes from the season  

12 pm | 2 pm | 3 pm 

  • Mad Scientists Shows: Watch fun chemical reactions take place before your eyes 

1 pm & 2:30 pm 

  • Halloween Costume Pageant: All participants get a prize
