Event Calendar

The Hillsboro Police Department offers a variety of events throughout the year to provide services and foster community connections. Find upcoming events on the calendar below.

New Year's Eve: Modified Hours & Closures at City Offices, Libraries, and Recreation Facilities

  • Date: 12/31/2025  (all day)

Offices 

The Civic Center and Public Works offices will be open at 8 am and close at 2 pm.

The Parks & Recreation Administration office will be open 8 am to 1 pm.

Library

Brookwood and Shute Park Libraries will be open 10 am to 4 pm. Remember, we're online 24 hours a day. Check out our online services.

Parks & Recreation Facilities

Hillsboro Community Senior Center: Open 10 am to 2 pm.

Hidden Creek Community Center: Open 10 am to 2 pm. Check the schedules for fitness classes and gym activities. Call 503-693-5900 for Kids Club information. 

Jackson Bottom Wetland Preserve Nature Center: Closed

Outdoors In: Closed

Shute Park Aquatic & Recreation Center: Open 10 am to 4 pm. Check the pool schedule, water exercise schedule, and fitness schedule. Call 503-681-6127 for Kids Club information. 

Walters Cultural Arts Center: Closed

Public Safety

The Fire & Rescue Department will respond to emergency calls as usual. The Fire Prevention Division and main office will be closed. For emergencies, call 911.

The Police Department will operate and respond to calls as usual. Building access at each precinct may be restricted. Emergency contact will be available via red phones near the front door.

Annual Events

National Night Out

Held on the first Tuesday in August, National Night Out is an opportunity for the community to gather, celebrate, connect with the Hillsboro Police Department, and give crime a going away party. Learn more and request a Police Party Patrol at your National Night Out Event.

Shred It

Hillsboro community members can safely shred personal documents and reduce their risk for identity theft at our biannual Shred It events held in the spring and fall. The events are free, and donations are collected to support the Hillsboro Police Cadet program.
