Community Workshop: Let’s Talk Part 2! Brave Conversations Without the Blowups

In Part 2, we build on the foundation from Part 1 and take a deeper look at what truly prevents us from engaging in healthy, productive conversations—especially with people who may hold completely opposing viewpoints.

Participants will learn about four uniquely human capabilities that help us avoid being triggered and remain calm and present, even in difficult discussions. From there, we explore and practice the Let’s Talk Discussion Steps, a structured approach for navigating sensitive topics with confidence, clarity, and understanding.

Note: While attending Part 1 first is most valuable, we will begin this session with a brief review of its key learning points so everyone can fully participate.

Please register by emailing Mediation@Hillsboro-Oregon.gov.

Shred It

Hillsboro community members can safely shred personal documents and reduce their risk for identity theft at our biannual Shred It events held in the spring and fall. The events are free, and donations are collected to support the Hillsboro Police Cadet program.
