Event Calendar

The Hillsboro Police Department offers a variety of events throughout the year to provide services and foster community connections. Find upcoming events on the calendar below.

Juneteenth Holiday: SHARC & Hidden Creek open 10 am to 4 pm; City offices, libraries & most recreation centers closed

Juneteenth commemorates this milestone in the journey to freedom for Black Americans and celebrates our present-day diversity.

Offices 

The Civic Center, Parks & Recreation Administration, and Public Works offices will be closed.

Library

Brookwood and Shute Park Libraries will be closed. Remember, we're online 24 hours a day. Check out our online services.

Parks & Recreation Facilities

Hillsboro Community Senior Center: Closed

Hidden Creek Community Center: Open 10 am to 4 pm. Kids Club 10 am to 1:15 pm. Check the schedule for group fitness offerings.

Jackson Bottom Wetlands Preserve Nature Center: Closed

Outdoors In: Open for Public Play 9 am to 12 pm and 1:30 to 4:30 pm

Shute Park Aquatic & Recreation Center: Open 10 am to 4 pm. Kids Club 10 am to 1:30 pm. Check the water fitness schedule and land fitness schedule for group classes.

Walters Cultural Arts Center: Closed

Public Safety

The Fire & Rescue Department will respond to emergency calls as usual. The Fire Marshal’s Office and Administration Office will be closed. For emergencies, call 911.

The Police Department will operate and respond to calls as usual. Building access at each precinct may be restricted. Emergency contact will be available via red phones near the front door.

Annual Events

National Night Out

Held on the first Tuesday in August, National Night Out is an opportunity for the community to gather, celebrate, connect with the Hillsboro Police Department, and give crime a going away party. Learn more and request a Police Party Patrol at your National Night Out Event.

Shred Event

Hillsboro community members can safely shred personal documents and reduce their risk for identity theft at our Shred Events - check our Events calendar (above) for specific dates. The events are free, but donations are accepted to support the Hillsboro Police Cadet program.
