Explore the rich history of Jackson Bottom Wetlands Preserve with the exhibit From Marsh to Mission: The Story of Jackson Bottom, showcasing historical photographs, artifacts, and information from the first indigenous stewards of the land, through its destruction and degradation, to the recent restoration efforts that have transformed the wetlands into one of the most diverse ecosystems in the Pacific Northwest.

From the returning of native flora and fauna to the continued efforts to protect the wetlands from new threats, trace the history of Jackson Bottom’s amazing transformation into the resource for recreation and environmental education that it is today.

The exhibit will be on display at the Jackson Bottom Wetlands Preserve Nature Center from July 1 through September 14.
