Monday - Friday:   1 - 4 pm & 7 - 9 pm 
Saturday & Sunday: 1 - 5 pm

Open Swim/Preschool Swim (Warm Water Pool Only)

Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 5:30 am - 9:20 am*
Tuesday & Thursday: 5:30 am - 8 am
Saturday: 7 am - 12  pm*
Sunday: 8 am - 1 pm*

Lap Swim Times (Indoor Pool)

Monday - Friday: 5:30 am - 12:50 pm*
Monday - Friday: 5:30 - 6:50 pm*
Saturday: 7 am - 12:50 pm
Sunday:  8 am - 12:50 pm
*Lap Swim has a minimum of 2 lap lanes.

Lap Swim (Outdoor Pool)

Monday - Friday: 9:30 am - 12:40 pm*
Saturday: 10 am - 12:50 pm
Sunday 11 am - 12:50 pm
*Lap Swim has a minimum of 2 lap lanes.

Adult Swim (Warm Water Pool ONLY)

Monday - Friday:   6 - 7 pm* 
Saturday: 12 - 1 pm

SHARC sponsored activities have first priority in the pools. Some space not available at all times.

Swim Descriptions

Open Swim: Exercise, relax, and recreate independently or with children in our Warm Water Pool. The Yellow Tea Cup is only turned on during Recreation Swim. Children age seven years and under must be accompanied by an adult 18 years or older in the water at all times.
Preschool Swim: Open to children up to seven years accompanied by an adult in the water in our Warm Water Pool. The Yellow Tea Cup is only turned on during Recreation Swim.
Adult Swim: Open to adults 18 years and older to exercise and relax in the warm water pool. Space is shared with swim lessons and other programs.
Lap Swim: Swimming continuous laps in the lap lanes of the Main Indoor Pool. Circle swimming is required with three or more swimmers in a lane.
Recreation Swim:  Open to people of all ages in the Main Pool, Warm Water Pool, and Outdoor Pool (summer only). Children age seven years and under must be accompanied by an adult in the water at all times.
Water Therapy: Rehabilitate injuries, develop flexibility, and/or perform exercises to protect joints. All participants must have doctor’s approval before attending. Please register through Tuality Healthcare Therapy Department by calling 503-681-4238.
WEX: Water Exercise Class

 

Attention:

 SHARC sponsored activities have first priority in the pools.
You may be asked to leave an area if an activity is scheduled in that or the surrounding space.

 

Appropriate Swimming Attire

  • All persons using the pools and spa must wear a swimsuit.
  • Cotton T-shirts, shorts, cut-offs, tank tops and undergarments are not allowed in the pools or spa.
  • Infants and toddlers who are not potty trained must wear a swim diaper covered by a vinyl diaper cover or swim suit with a liner.
  • Only Coast Guard Approved life jackets are allowed as flotation devices.
  • Water wings, inflatable tubes, or swimsuits with integrated flotation devices (whether sewn in or not) and similar devices are not allowed in the pools.

WEX Fit & Fun (Warm Water)

Fit & Fun (Warm Water): Start your morning off right with this fun conditioning class utilizing the benefits of Warm Water exercise.  The natural buoyancy and resistance provided by Warm Water enables you to gradually build up flexibility, mobility, balance, strength, and stamina no matter what your current level of fitness, while Warm Water decreases joint and soft tissue inflammation, improves circulation, and eases joint pain associated with injuries and conditions like arthritis and fibromyalgia.

Class is Monday - Friday from 8 - 8:50 am. Instructor is Autumn Monday - Thursday. Instructor on Friday varies.
