Image of Beats & Eats banner showing a fork and spoon beating on a drum.Food trucks aren’t the only thing revved up Friday afternoons at Tom Hughes Civic Center Plaza. You can now listen to beats while enjoying your eats with the new Friday Beats & Eats summer series in Downtown Hillsboro.

Lunch goers can stop by one of the participating downtown restaurants offering easy grab and go eats or take a bite out of rotating food trucks on the plaza all while moving to live summertime beats.

Starting June 15 through August 24, Friday Beats & Eats will have Tom Hughes Civic Center Plaza plugged in and serving up lunch from 11:30 am - 1:30 pm. Plaza games like mega-sized chess, oversized Jenga, connect four and cornhole will be available for the gamers.
