Our Parks

Playgrounds, Sports Courts, and Public Recreation Equipment Closed

The City of Hillsboro has closed all playgrounds, sports courts, and public recreation equipment effective March 23 at noon.

Parks and Trails Open

All Hillsboro parks and trails will remain open for exercise and walking, but community members should take the need for social distancing seriously and maintain at least six feet separation from others.

 

Sites with reservable shelters are indicated below. Shelters may be reserved over the phone with a VISA, MasterCard, or Discover.

Note: Picnic shelter reservations are taken starting in January for the same year. 2019 reservation dates are April 13 - October 13.

Any individual or organization offering a registration or fee based activity or program must have department approval prior to using City of Hillsboro parks or facilities.

Park Description

This 1.1-acre neighborhood park in the heart of Hillsboro provides a beautiful and relaxing open space for neighborhood residents. A sidewalk loops the park, which has a paved plaza at both the north and south ends. The park can be accessed from the sidewalks that encompass the park on all sides. Restrooms are not available, but drinking fountains are available at both ends of the park.

Amenities 

Accessible Parking image Parking: On-street parking is provided on all sides of the park.
Image Accessible Paved Paths Paths: All paths are paved. A four-foot wide sidewalk loops the park.
Accessible Bench image Benches: There are many benches throughout the park, along the paved path and in grouped arrangements.

 Lawn: The central lawn provides a vast open area for active pursuits.
 Image Accessible Gazebo Gazebo: The gazebo at the north end of the park is an inviting centerpiece surrounded by a small lawn. The surface of the gazebo is paved.
 Image Accessible Pavilion  Pavilion: The ivy-covered pavilion at the south end of the park is a lovely gateway. The surface of the pavilion is paved.
