Playgrounds and Many City Facilities Closed
To slow the spread of coronavirus and protect our community members’ health, all playgrounds and many City of Hillsboro facilities are closed until further notice. Visit our COVID-19 webpage for the latest coronavirus updates or view our Facilities and Parks Status Map to see what's open.
Select Park Amenities Open
Dog parks, tennis and pickleball courts, Reedville Creek skate park, Orchard Park disc golf course, and Rood Bridge Park's watercraft launch are open. Other park amenities such as playgrounds, basketball courts, sports fields, and picnic shelters remain closed.
Parks and Trails Open
All Hillsboro parks and trails remain open for exercise and walking. Community members should take the need for physical distancing seriously and maintain at least six feet separation from others.
Sites with reservable shelters are indicated below. Shelters may be reserved over the phone with a VISA, MasterCard, or Discover.
Note: Picnic shelter reservations are taken starting in January for the same year. 2019 reservation dates are April 13 - October 13.
Any individual or organization offering a registration or fee based activity or program must have department approval prior to using City of Hillsboro parks or facilities.

Plan Your Visit
Cornell Creek Park is located in the Orenco Station neighborhood on the southwest corner of Cornell Road and NE Century Boulevard. This four-acre park features paved, looped walking paths, a one-half acre fenced off-leash dog area, a small nature play area that includes a sand area along with a few other play elements, a few benches and picnic tables. The park also features two outdoor game areas - a bocce ball court and a ping-pong table. These active areas are balanced by an open lawn, ornamental and native plantings, a riparian zone, and planted buffering from the adjacent streets and neighbors.
There are several benches throughout the park and seating next to the play area.
|Nature Play Area
There is a small playground area that includes a sand area.
|Off-Leash Dog Area
The park has an all-year-round, fenced, off-leash dog area.
A Bocce Court and Ping-Pong table are available. Bocce game equipment can be borrowed from the Brookwood Library.
There is a paved, looped, walking path that crosses over a footbridge.
There are several accessible picnic tables throughout the park.
