School is back in session, the weather is turning cooler, and the days are getting shorter. While the fall season brings change, there's still no shortage of fun events and programs in Hillsboro to enjoy with family and friends.
OrenKoFest: Hillsboro's Harvest Festival
Hillsboro’s free harvest festival features local eats, farm fresh produce, live music, seasonal beer and wine, unique arts and crafts, and kids’ autumn crafts. Special features include a Bavarian beer stein holding contest, otherwise known as a “Masskrugstemmen” and dancing. Event details

HillsDOer Day is about coming together and taking ownership of our community. It’s about giving back, getting to know our neighbors, and embracing our hometown pride. There are several projects being hosted throughout Hillsboro as a part of this community-wide event.
The Hillsboro Reads fall book selection is Bored and Brilliant: How Spacing Out Can Unlock Your Most Productive and Creative Self. Throughout October, attend the many free programs exploring the themes of the book, share your thoughts in a book group discussion, join in the Bored and Brilliant challenges online and in the Library, participate in the community art project, and more!
Hillsboro Arts Month is an initiative of the Hillsboro Arts & Culture Council designed to highlight the arts and culture community of the City of Hillsboro. October 2019 features over 50 arts and cultural events and classes in the Hillsboro community including music, dance, and theater performances; visual art exhibits and artists studio tours; literary readings, lectures, and workshops; and film screenings.
