Hundreds of Hillsboro Small Businesses Request Emergency Grant Support
March 27 Update: The City of Hillsboro is committing an additional $500,000 in funding for emergency grants to support small businesses and entrepreneurs. This second round of grant money doubles the total amount of the City’s COVID-19 crisis funding for small businesses to $1 million.
Additional details will be announced on our COVID-19 Business Resources webpage and social media channels on Monday, March 30. The second round of grant applications will open on Tuesday, April 7. This emergency grant funding is ONLY for small businesses inside Hillsboro city limits with an active business license from the City of Hillsboro.
Small business applicants who applied during the first round and were selected to receive an emergency grant will be notified by email and standard mail this week and next week.

The application process for the City of Hillsboro's Small Business Emergency Grant Program is now closed due to overwhelming demand. The grant application process launched on Monday, March 23, 2020, at 8 am and closed the same day at 5 pm.
Hundreds of small business owners applied to receive a portion of the $500,000. The total amount requested was more than double the amount available. Grant applications received will be processed and businesses will be notified about their status starting later this week. The City will make an effort to assist as many businesses as possible.
