The Hillsboro City Council awarded $200,000 in Community Services Grants to 14 organizations that provide impactful services in Hillsboro, including housing assistance, domestic violence resources, meal delivery, and more.
The Community Services Grant Program is intended to provide support to local social service agencies that assist in improving the mental or physical condition of Hillsboro residents.
The grant award values have increased substantially since Hillsboro’s Community Services Grant Program began during the 1992-93 Fiscal Year. Back then, the program awarded a total of $15,000.
Local agencies that received grant awards for fiscal year 2021-22 include:
- Adelante Mujeres — $15,000
- ASSIST — $20,000
- Assistance League of Greater Portland — $7,000
- Bienestar — $20,000
- Boys & Girls Aid — $20,000
- CASA for Children, Inc. — $12,000
- Community Hands Up — $20,000
- Domestic Violence Resource Center, Inc. — $1,000
- HomePlate Youth Services — $20,000
- Meals on Wheels People — $5,000
- Oregon Food Bank — $10,000
- Project Homeless Connect Washington County — $20,000
- St. Vincent de Paul, St. Matthew Conference — $20,000
- Working Theory Farm — $10,000
