Downtown's Urban Wine Scene
3 Goats Vineyard & Winery
Owners: Candice and Chris Plewik
Location: 139 SE 2nd Avenue - Coming Soon!
New to Hillsboro’s growing wine scene, 3 Goats Vineyard & Winery anticipates moving their tasting room from Forest Grove to Downtown Hillsboro in May.
In 2016, these high school sweethearts left city life behind and moved to a 5-acre farm. There they adopted 3 hooved kids (Hershel, Marshmallow, and Graham) which kickstarted their venture in farming, and planted a vineyard. In 2020, they started making wine (50 cases!) and opened their first tasting room three years later.
“We are excited to see what the future has in store for us, and we are so lucky to have your support,” said Chris, Winemaker at 3 Goats Vineyard. “Come and see us at our new tasting room - we can't wait to welcome you in!”
DAnu Wines
Owners: Maxine & Joe WilliamsLocation: 173 NE 3rd Avenue, Suite #107
DAnu Wines is a boutique winery that celebrates the diversity of the Northwest grape by offering 12 different varietals and blends.
DAnu Wines loves being in Downtown Hillsboro’s Cultural Arts District and appreciates being part of a community that is continually growing, learning, and supporting culinary artistry.
“Supporting our community — and specifically the arts in our community — has always been important to us,” says Maxine Williams, co-owner of DAnu Wines. “By participating in the May Hillsboro Art Walk, in conjunction with Oregon’s Wine Month, we hope to help guests see that wine is a bit of art in its own way, and that each winemaker is an artist influenced by those around them.”
Hillsboro Wine Merchants and Wine Lounge
Owners: Neil Thompson & Hans Ramos
Location: 155 SE 2nd Avenue
Hillsboro Wine Merchants is Hillsboro's one-stop shop for the finest hand-made wines from around the world. They also offer a boutique experience for residents and visitors alike through private memberships, tastings, and classes.
Visitors to Downtown are welcome to peruse the art in the shop, have a glass of wine, and sit and relax in the cozy wine lounge.
“There is so much to see and share, people to meet, and joy to be had by being in the middle of such a wonderful scenario,” said Neil Thompson, Co-Owner of Hillsboro Wine Merchants. “There is always an air of enthusiasm about arts, fine crafts and goods, and more in Downtown Hillsboro.”
Résolu Cellars
Owners: The Nelson Family
Location: 262 SE 4th Avenue
This father-son winemaking duo produces 14 to 16 small-batch wines annually. Along with award-winning Willamette Valley wines, Résolu also make bold red wines in the heart of Pinot Noir country.
Their location in Downtown Hillsboro provides visitors an opportunity to try their small-batch wines at their wine bar and view wines in production.
“We bring the art of winemaking to Downtown and trust our contribution will be of mutual benefit to showcase local artists, the history of Hillsboro, and attract new traffic to the Downtown core,” said Kathie Nelson, Brand Ambassador at Résolu Cellars.
With a passion for craft wines and collaboration, Résolu Cellars’ craft wine bar regularly features other wineries that don’t have tasting rooms. In fact, 90% of their fruit is sourced from family-owned vineyards and transported to Hillsboro to process from crush to bottle.
