On 07/06/2023, at approximately 11:38 PM, a Hillsboro Police Officer and his K9 partner were driving north on SE 12th Ave when they were struck by a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed eastbound on SE Oak St. Both vehicles sustained significant damage. The Officer was released from a local hospital with minor injuries. The K9 was seen by a veterinarian and determined uninjured. Two occupants from the other vehicle were transported to an area hospital with unknown injuries. The Washington County Sheriff's Office is investigating the crash. The investigation is ongoing, and no further details can be released at this time.
