RETAIL THEFT BLITZ

On July 6, 2023, the Hillsboro Police Department partnered with local retailers in the area of the Sunset Esplanade shopping center and conducted a retail theft blitz. The operation resulted in four arrests and recovery of the stolen merchandise. Charges for those arrested included theft in the first degree, theft in the second degree, felon in possession of a restricted weapon, and outstanding arrest warrants. Metal knuckles and an airsoft firearm replica were also found during the operation.
