At their November 19 Work Session, the Hillsboro City Council heard an in-depth update on how the City and community partners are working together to address the impacts of unsheltered homelessness and behavioral health concerns in Hillsboro. 

Presenting organizations included:

To highlight the crucial need for collaboration on these intersecting topics, each organization shared their role, challenges, and opportunities as we work together to support a safe and welcoming community.  

The presenters also shared how they work with 4D Recovery, a local nonprofit providing behavioral health outreach and recovery support services.

Washington County Supportive Housing Services Annual Report

Earlier in the evening, Washington County also shared their Supportive Housing Services Annual Report with the Hillsboro City Council.

In May 2020, voters across the Portland metro area approved Measure 26-210 to fund services for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness. During the program's first three years, Washington County has built a comprehensive system of care that is meeting people experiencing homelessness where they are as they move towards long-term housing.
