South Hillsboro Fire Station 9: Now In-Service
After breaking ground a little over a year ago, construction is now complete on Hillsboro’s sixth strategically located fire station in the South Hillsboro neighborhood.
With firefighters moved in and ready to respond 24/7, the station will provide vital fire, rescue, and advanced medical services to Hillsboro’s newest communities, while maintaining reliable response times amidst increasing call volumes.
Built to modern standards, the disaster-resilient station features administrative spaces and a building department operations center, reflecting a long-term investment in public safety. Fire Station 9 will host:
-
The Operations Center for the Economic & Community Development Department's Building Division
-
Workspaces for Police and other City departments
-
Electric vehicle charging stations
-
And, in the future, a self-service mini-branch of the Library
Community members are invited to a Fire Station Community Open House on Saturday, March 14 from 10 am to 2 pm. You’ll have a chance to tour the new station, meet firefighters, and visit with other City staff from the Building Division, Emergency Management, Police, Public Works, Water, and Library.
