3rd Annual Hillsboro Film Festival: April 24 & 25
Hillsboro Film Festival returns to the Downtown Cultural Arts District for a third year April 24 & 25 with a curated slate of short films from around the country anchored by a full-length local documentary.
Nearly 50 short films were submitted for the festival and 36 were selected for competition. A panel of judges will award the top films in each category:
- Narrative
- Documentary
- Animation
- Experimental
- Music Video
Festival Highlights
In addition to film submissions, the festival will include a screening of Outliers & Outlaws, a documentary that chronicles the history of lesbian world-builders who moved to Eugene, Oregon over two decades starting in the 1960s. City of Hillsboro Mayor Beach Pace will do a special introduction for the film and filmmaker Courtney Hermann will participate in a special Q&A session with the audience after the screening.
The Hillsboro Film Festival is hosted at The Vault Theater & Event Space (350 E. Main Street).
Tickets are $15 per paid event (3 for the weekend) or $30 for a weekend pass to all events. The screenwriters panel is free and open to the public.
