The Hillsboro Water Department will soon begin replacing aging cast iron water pipes along SE Spruce Street with new ductile iron pipes. Work is scheduled to run from May through July and covers the stretch between SE 13th Avenue and SE 16th Avenue.

The project is being carried out in coordination with the Hillsboro Public Works paving program, allowing both infrastructure upgrades to be completed together and minimizing long-term disruption to the neighborhood.

Some temporary water service interruptions will occur during construction. Affected residents will be notified at least 48 hours in advance of any planned service shutoff. In the event of an emergency water shutoff, advance notice may not be possible.
