Adjusted Application Timeline Published for 2018-2019 Community Arts & Culture Grants
The Hillsboro Arts & Culture Council (HACC) has adjusted the application timeline for 2018-2019 Community Arts & Culture Grants. Since 2008, the HACC has given out more than $310,000 in grant funding to support local programs providing arts and cultural experiences to the greater Hillsboro community. Nonprofit arts and culture organizations that serve Hillsboro are eligible for funding through this grant program, but other organizations with an arts and culture component or partner could also qualify. Applications will be available online and at the Walters Cultural Arts Center from January 2 – February 23, 2018.
The new Hillsboro Arts & Culture Council Community Arts & Culture Grant timeline allows increased flexibility in spending for summer programs. “Our previous grant timeline funded programs beginning on July 1 which was an obstacle to supporting many community festivals and summer youth programming,” states Community Arts Program Supervisor Melissa Moore. “The HACC did not want to continue to pose limitations on the great programming that happens throughout the summer. The new timeline only shifts the application deadline by a couple of weeks, but it will be an incredible help for those who wish to use their award for programs that begin in June.”
