These safety projects throughout Hillsboro are improving City streets and sidewalks for pedestrians, cyclists, and drivers.
- NE Griffin Oaks Street is open to two-way traffic again. The project, funded by the Transportation Utility Fee, replaced the pavement between NE 15th and 25th avenues and improved the existing storm sewer.
- Hillsboro's Transportation System Plan (TSP) will serve as the blueprint for the City's transportation investments over the next 20 years. Get involved in the plan's update at Hillsboro-Oregon.gov/TSP.
- The City of Hillsboro's Safe Routes to School Program is helping physical education teachers at Hillsboro School District elementary schools to share traffic and pedestrian safety lessons with students.
- The LED Streetlight Conversion Project kicked off in February. The Light-Emitting Diode (LED) lights are expected to last four times longer than the current high-pressure sodium bulbs and use half the energy.
