City Council Election Filing Period Opens July 9
Interested in serving on the Hillsboro City Council?
The candidate filing period begins Monday, July 9, and continues until Monday, August 27, at 5 pm. The City Recorder has posted the 2018 City Council Candidate Packet on the City of Hillsboro Elections webpage.

Three City Council seats will be up for election:
Ward 1, Position A:
City Council President Darell Lumaco is term-limited after eight years on the Council, creating a vacancy.
Ward 2, Position A:
Councilor Kyle Allen was elected in November 2014 and is eligible for reelection.
Ward 3, Position A:
Councilor Olivia Alcaire was appointed to the seat in February 2017 and is eligible for election.
All City Council positions are nonpartisan. Elected terms are for four years. Candidates must be registered to vote in Oregon and must reside in Hillsboro for at least one year immediately preceding the election.
