Community Invited to Share Feedback on 20-Year Water Master Plan Draft
Long-term planning always has been a key component in the City of Hillsboro Water Department’s ability to meet customers’ needs in a growing and diverse community. All customers benefit from a highly reliable and redundant water system, much of which was planned decades ago.
In continuing with those efforts, the Hillsboro Water Department began the process to update the Water Master Plan in 2017 to help guide wise use of water supplies.
The plan examines the City’s water system, recommends Capital Improvement Program (CIP) projects, and details strategies for continuing to provide a safe, reliable, and sustainable water supply and service to customers in a cost-effective manner over the next 20 years.
Community members are now invited to review and provide input on the draft version of the 2019 plan and recommended CIP projects:
- Online: Review the draft 2019 plan and CIP projects online then provide input by phone at 503-615-6702 or email.
- Event: Visit the Water Department’s booth at the City of Hillsboro Public Works Day event on Saturday, May 18, at the Civic Center Plaza to provide input.
- In-Person: View a hard copy and provide input in-person at the City of Hillsboro Water Department, located at 150 E Main Street, Third Floor, Hillsboro, OR 97123.
Feedback will be accepted until Friday, May 24. A finalized plan will be posted online by the end of 2019.
Thank you for helping the City prepare a roadmap for our community's water future.
