Strategic Plan Header

The City of Hillsboro recently adopted an organizational mission statement and set of core values as components of its strategic planning process. A mission statement summarizes the purpose and associated responsibilities of a group or organization. Core Values express the internal beliefs or philosophy that directs how the organization carries out its mission.

Community members, the City Council and hundreds of City employees contributed to developing the following statements that will help guide City of Hillsboro operations and service delivery in years to come. The City's five year strategic plan was adopted by the City Council in January 2010. Implementation begins July 1, 2010 in alignment with the start of the 2011 fiscal year.
