The Library Foundation of Hillsboro
Their mission is to foster and reflect community commitment to education and the pursuit of knowledge by providing access and opportunities, through advocacy and financial support of the Hillsboro Public Library, and to educate, encourage, enrich and enlighten the population by enhancing collections, technology, services, and facilities of the Hillsboro Public Library.
Established in 1989, The Library Foundation of Hillsboro has sought private support to enhance library resources, services, programs, and facilities. It promotes the Hillsboro Public Library as a unique educational, informational, and recreational focal point for our community.
The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, separate and independent of city government. The Foundation supplements city funding of operations. A carefully developed and approved investment policy guides the Board’s financial decisions.

The Friends of the Hillsboro Public Library
The Friends of the Hillsboro Public Library is a 501(3)(c) non-profit organization which exists to benefit the Library. The Friends' chief fundraising activity is selling the books, videos, CDs and other items donated to the Library and/or culled from the library’s collection.
The Friends accept donations of books, magazines, DVDs, CDs, videotapes and even vinyl records. Please stop by the Main Library to make your donations.
The Friends bi-annual book sale would not be possible without the help of many dedicated volunteers.
