Playgrounds and Many City Facilities Closed
To slow the spread of coronavirus and protect our community members’ health, all playgrounds and many City of Hillsboro facilities are closed until further notice. Visit our COVID-19 webpage for the latest coronavirus updates or view our Facilities and Parks Status Map to see what's open.
Select Park Amenities Open
Dog parks, tennis and pickleball courts, Reedville Creek skate park, Orchard Park disc golf course, and Rood Bridge Park's watercraft launch are open. Other park amenities such as playgrounds, basketball courts, sports fields, and picnic shelters remain closed.
Parks and Trails Open
All Hillsboro parks and trails remain open for exercise and walking. Community members should take the need for physical distancing seriously and maintain at least six feet separation from others.
The City of Hillsboro Parks & Recreation Department is an award-winning and nationally accredited parks and recreation agency. We are dedicated to providing diverse, innovative and exceptional recreational and cultural opportunities that enrich the lives of our citizens. Each year thousands of residents enjoy our parks, playgrounds, sports fields, recreational programs and our facilities – Jackson Bottom Wetlands Preserve, Walters Cultural Arts Center, Shute Park Aquatic and Recreation Center, Tyson Recreation Center, Outdoors In, Hillsboro Community Senior Center and the Gordon Faber Recreation Complex.
We offer hundreds of programs year-round for all ages including recreational, educational, youth development and cultural classes, adult sports leagues and elementary and middle school after-school programs and summer camp.
