Image of Hillsboro Arts Summer Logo.Hillsboro Arts Summer (HAS) provides students an opportunity to study with highly respected and renowned musicians and educators, providing opportunities to develop valuable skills, techniques, discipline and self-confidence, all while making new friends with kids who have the same interests. HAS provides a fun and supportive environment.

HAS includes art, film/TV production, guitar, concert band, Jazz studies and musical theater as majors. There are also a variety of electives from which to choose (see list). Students perform a final theater, musical and art production on Thursday evening, July 16 (open to the public). Sign up for one major and two electives. Students need to bring their own instruments (except drums).

All course offerings are dependent upon enrollment. If a student registers for both HAS and Camp Amp, he/she must bring a lunch. Check out faculty bios and class description. (Links on the left side of page.) *No refunds are offered after camp starts.*

If student plays electric guitar or bass, he/she must bring an instrument cable to plug into an amplifier (provided), picks, and extra set of strings and a tuner.

If you are signing up for both HAS & Camp Amp, click on the Camp Amp link to the left to view class information and majors.

Hillsboro Arts Summer and Camp Amp accepts new and gently-used instruments in playable and good cosmetic condition. We accept drum sets, bass, guitars, ukuleles, 88-key keyboards, and brass instruments.
