Traffic Advisory: Temporary Road Closure at NE Lenox Street and Lorie Drive During Culvert Replacement Project
The completion of this project will prevent Glencoe Creek from flowing over the top of the roadway during large storm events.

The City of Hillsboro is partnering with the Hillsboro Rotary Club to become a supporting sponsor of the parade, adding $5,000 to the Rotary Club’s fund that provides scholarships for local students.

The U.S. Department of Energy highlights Hillsboro’s achievements for reducing its energy footprint by 26 percent since 2009 — the greatest improvement among all public agencies in the nation — as well as the City’s work to reduce water use by 11 percent since 2012.
It strikes me that the City of Hillsboro has something in common with the historically great players. Like Messi, Ronaldo, and Neymar, our employees constantly seek self-improvement and take it upon themselves to be more effective in delivering City programs and services.

Getting high-speed internet access in Hillsboro is about to become easier — and more affordable. The City of Hillsboro has committed to expanding its existing City-owned municipal fiber network to provide affordable high-speed internet access to Hillsboro residents, businesses, and nonprofits.
The Hillsboro City Council voted to underground all utilities in the public right-of-way on both sides of Jackson School Road during its meeting on April 3.
As part of Hillsboro’s Smart City strategy, City leaders are evaluating how a City-owned fiber network could ensure every resident, every business, every nonprofit and community group has affordable access to gigabit download speeds.

This evening, in preparation of predicted snowfall, Public Works Department crews will again be applying anti-icing solution, sanding, and snow plowing as needed to stay ahead of this winter storm.
