Curbside Street Tree Leaf Pick-up Schedule

Beginning in November, the City of Hillsboro will start it's annual curbside street tree leaf pick-up program. The City's leaf program helps keep our streets clean and reduces flooding caused by leaves clogging the storm drains. Please print and post the leaf pick-up map and schedule (see the links below) in a handy spot to remind you Leaf Pick up Slideshowwhen to be ready for leaf pick-up on your street. If your street tree leaves are not in the street on the scheduled date, we will not have the opportunity to provide you with this curbside service. Please keep in mind that emergencies, severe weather, and light/heavy leaf fall may cause delays in the schedule.

To help us better serve you, place loose street tree leaves curbside on the first day of your scheduled pick-up. Loose leaves should be raked into a windrow 18 inches away from the curb to allow storm water to drain. Keep leaf windrows less than 3 feet high. Please do not park vehicles, or leave garbage cans or other obstacles near the leaf windrows or bagged leaves. Items other than leaves will not be picked-up.

Leaf Disposal Drop-off & Food Drive

Please note: The leaf drop-off program is finished for this season.
The City is providing a free leaf disposal drop-off at the Hillsboro Fairground Sports Complex on 28th Avenue next to the tennis courts on November 5, December 3, and December 17, between 9:30 am and 3:30 pm. This service is designed to help reduce the amount of leaves that are raked or blown into the street from property owner’s yards. Reducing the amount of leaves that end up in the street helps mitigate potential flooding caused by clogged storm drains. Biodegradable bags are preferred, however if you bring your leaves in plastic bags, we will ask that you dump out the leaves and take the plastic bags with you. There is no charge to drop your leaves off at the disposal site, but we are accepting donations of non-perishable food items for the Oregon Food Bank.
