Identify Opportunities to Improve Public Safety for Households & Businesses with Limited English Proficiency

Identify opportunities in the Fire & Emergency Services Community Risk Assessment to improve public safety, especially in households and businesses where there may be limited English proficiency.

Increase the Number of Households With Smoke Detectors

This is an ongoing partnership between the City of Hillsboro, American Red Cross, Home Depot, Hillsboro Community Foundation and Oregon State's Fire Marshall.

Distribute printed materials with fire prevention, safety, response, and reporting information in priority languages. Safety pamphlets and materials are available in Spanish. Translation services are available upon request.
