Submittal of Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance Reports
Effective October 1, 2020, Hillsboro Fire and Rescue stopped use of The Compliance Engine™ system for report collection. We transitioned to an email-based reporting process.
Advantages of the new system include:
- No fees required
- Reports can be emailed
- Improved tracking of inspections and deficiencies
Reports will only be accepted through email transmission in accordance with the Oregon Fire Code as amended by the Hillsboro Municipal Code and shall be received within 30 days from the service date. If the initial inspection results in deficiencies that are repaired within the first 30 days, the initial and follow-up reports may be submitted as one report.
Process Description:
- Name inspection reports using a specific naming convention:
[Address][Compliant/Deficient/Impaired][Date] Example: 150 S Main St Compliant 10.1.2020
- Please verify report is submitted using a valid address using the Address Check application.
- Attach report to email with the subject line "Compliance Report" and send to HillsboroFireReports@hillsboro-oregon.gov.
- Please ensure that the complete report is visible. Incomplete or illegible reports cannot be accepted.
- In the event of a noncompliant condition per OFC Appendix I or a critical deficiency as defined by NFPA 25 is found, the report shall be emailed within 72 hours with the word "Impaired" in the subject line.
As we work to improve this process, please contact the Fire Marshal's Office at 503-615-6746 with any questions or comments.
