The Winter Village Ice Rink Opens November 29, 2026

Find seasonal cheer at this outdoor ice-skating rink. Winter Village is a beloved Hillsboro event. Bring your friends and family to a skate session, take an ice skating lesson. Don't miss exciting special events and skate days!

The rink will be closed on the following days:

Please note: On days with skating lessons, the last public skate time is 4 pm. These days include December 2,3,9,10,16, 17 and January 6,7. More details available in the Skating Lessons section below.

Rules & Guidelines

Each session is 60 minutes. Please arrive 15 minutes before your desired skate time.
Skate sessions are first come, first served.
Each session can accommodate approximately 45 people.
Children 13 and under must be accompanied on the ice by a paying adult.
A parent or legal guardian must complete the participation waiver for each youth skater.
Save time and complete the waiver online.

Prices (includes skate rental)

$19 — General admission
$16 — 13 and under
Free — 3 and under
$5 — Bobby skate aid rental

SNAP/EBT Pricing: Please bring proof of benefits to show when purchasing tickets.

$10 - general admission

$8 - 13 and under

Tickets may be purchased up to 15 minutes before each skate session.
No advanced ticket sales.

Skating Lessons

Learn how to skate or improve your skills!

Skate lessons are available on Wednesday and Thursday evenings led by the Winter Hawks ICE Centers.

December 2, 3, 9,10,16,17, 30, 31 and January 6 & 7.

Session times: 5:45 - 6:45pm & 7 - 8pm
Ages 3-5 and 6-Adult.

Lessons are one hour and include 30 minutes of instruction, and 30 minutes of free skating. During skate lessons the rink will be reserved and unavailable for public skating.

Parking, Accessibility & Safety

Orenco Station Know Before You Go

The event is located on the MAX blue & red line at the “Orenco Station” stop. Use of TriMet is encouraged.
Street parking is limited.
Parking is available at the Rowlock or Vector parking garages. The first 2 hours are free, but you must display a ticket in your car window.
The event plaza is accessible for mobility devices with level, paved surfaces and curb ramps along the sidewalk.
There are three accessible public restrooms available.

Ice Skating Know Before You Go:

The rink is located outdoors, but is fully covered.
Skate rentals are included in the cost of admission.
You are welcome to bring your own skates, but there is no discount on ticket price.
There are no advance tickets sales. All tickets must be purchased in person on the day of your skate session.
Tickets can be purchased up to 15 minutes before your skate session begins.
Helmets are not required but will be available at no charge. You are also welcome to bring your own.
"Bobby the Seal" skating aids will be available for a $5 rental.
Participation waivers are required for all participants. Waivers will be available when purchasing tickets.

Snow Much Fun

Saturday, December 19
10 am to 3 pm

Kick off Winter Break with snow flurries on the plaza at the top of every hour, a visit from Santa, baby reindeer goats, tasty treats, and holiday music all day long. Enjoy a holiday pop-up market around the ice rink featuring more than 30 vendors from the Children's Entrepreneur Market.

Support local youth with your holiday shopping and enjoy musical performances by young artists.

Regular skate times apply: 10 am • 11:30 am • 1 pm • 2:30 pm • 4 pm • 5:30 pm • 7 pm
