Family Play

• Adults are encouraged to try our bouldering wall and play structure for interactive play with their children.

Restrooms

• Public restrooms are located on the second floor of the building and require a key from Outdoors In staff. They are accessible by stairs or elevator. 
• A changing table is located inside the restrooms.

Accessibility

• Outdoors In is wheelchair accessible with accessible restrooms (located on the 2nd floor), water fountains, and ramps to enter and exit the facility. 
• NEOS and some of our other play features are accessible for play for children with disabilities. 
• Sensory-Friendly Playtimes are available. Check the Public Play Hours and Costs section for additional details.
• Sensory Kits are always available.
• Sensory Craft Time is coming soon.

WiFi

• The Hillsboro Civic Center Downtown WiFi network is available at Outdoors In.

Snack and Lunch Area

• Our classroom area is set up with tables, chairs, and high chairs for adults and children to enjoy lunch or a snack. 
• As a courtesy to our other patrons, please do not bring birthday treats like cake, cupcakes, gifts, decorations, or balloons during Public Play.
• Adults are welcome to carry water and/or coffee while supervising children. 
• Alcohol and glass are prohibited.

Stroller Parking

• You are welcome to bring your stroller inside Outdoors In and park it out of the way or in the lobby outside. We are not responsible for lost or stolen items. 

Public Play Costs

• Outdoors In charges entry fees for children aged one through 17 who are not directly caring for a child. Children zero to 12 months old are free. 
• Each Public Play period is considered a single visit and there is a charge for each one. Entry fees cover either a morning or afternoon Public Play period, but do not cover both. 
• Starting Fall 2025, Saturday morning sessions are two hours only with a reduced entry fee.

Entry Fee Details

• At least one adult must remain onsite to supervise children at all times. The number of children allowed in per adult is unlimited. 
• We accept most major credit cards, cash, and checks.

Punch Cards

• Punch cards can be used to cover entry fees for more than one child. 
• We are happy to store your punch card onsite in a locked drawer.

For everyone’s enjoyment, please observe the following Outdoors In rules.

Supervision and Behavior

• An adult who remains onsite at all times must accompany children.
• Adults are admitted only in the company of a child.
• Slides are for going down and not up. Slide riders must slide feet first. 
• Toys are not allowed on the play structure.
• Profanity and indecent language or behavior is prohibited.
• No roughhousing.

Clothing and Belongings

• Clothing must be dry to enter the facility.
• Shoes are optional. Socks are required. Bare feet are not allowed.
• Food, chairs, and tables must stay in the classroom. 
• Glass is not allowed in the facility. 
• Outdoors In is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Lost and Found items are kept for 30 days.

Are food and drinks allowed at Outdoors In?

Yes, snacks and lunch are allowed in our classroom area. As a courtesy to other patrons, birthday treats, gifts, and decorations are not allowed during Public Play. Alcohol and glass are prohibited.

Can I leave my child at Outdoors In while I run out for a moment?

No. We understand your child would prefer to stay and play but unless another adult is present with you, you are required to bring your child with you anytime you leave Outdoors In.

Are restrooms available? And a changing table?

Restrooms are not located inside Outdoors In, but are available on the second floor of the building. Stairs and an elevator are available.

The bathrooms require a key. Please request a key from the Facility Supervisor on duty.  

A changing table is available inside the restrooms. 

Does Outdoors In take toy donations?

If you have toys in very good condition, please contact Outdoors In directly to arrange for us to inspect toys and to determine if we are in need of them.

Please keep in mind, we have many toys and cannot accept all donations. Please feel free to research other donation centers in the community, as there is always a need for gently used toys.
