Dog Parks

Hillsboro is home to 4 fenced, off-leash dog parks. They feature areas for a variety of dog sizes, with options that are open seasonally or year-round. Check below for dog park locations, hours, and current status. 

Butternut Creek Park

7830 SE Deline Street
Hillsboro, Oregon 97124

• Closed for maintenance on Mondays & Thursdays until noon.

• All-Season Area (Artificial Turf)

  • Status: Open daily from dawn to dusk.

• Mixed Dog Area (Natural Grass)

  • Status: Closing for the season October 13, 2025. Will reopen in Spring 2026.

Located in the new Butternut Creek community, this dog park features two fenced-in areas for dogs to enjoy off-leash fun. The natural grass park is the larger of the two and is open during the spring and summer, and the turf park is available to visit year round. Both include a dog water fountain, dog waste bags and trash cans.

Cornell Creek Park

Cornell Creek Park is 4-acre park located in the Orenco Station neighborhood, featuring a half-acre fenced off-leash dog area. 

All-Season Area (Gravel)

• Status: Open daily from dawn to dusk.

Hondo Dog Park

4499 NE Century Blvd
Hillsboro, OR 97124

Whether it’s the winter use area that is open year-round, the large mixed-size play area, or the timid/small dog area, Hondo has something for all sizes and personalities.

All-Season Area (Gravel)

• Status: Open daily from dawn to 9 pm. Water is available.
• The all-weather Winter Area is open year-round. This area is lit after dark until close.

Main & Mixed Dog Area (Grass)

• Status: Closed (updated 10/24/25)
• During the open season, the Main & Mixed Dog Area is closed for maintenance every Monday and Thursday from dawn until 12 pm.

Small Dog Area (Grass)

• Status: Closed (updated 10/3/25)
• Starting spring 2025, this area will be limited to dogs 30 pounds and under. This change is in response to a community survey and engagement effort initiated in fall 2024. 
• During the open season, the Small Dog Area is closed for maintenance every Monday and Thursday from dawn until 12 pm.

Reed's Crossing Park

  • Status: Open daily from dawn to dusk.

• Mixed Dog Area (Natural Grass)*

  • Status: Check with the Reed's Crossing Homeowners Association

This new dog park in South Hillsboro features both natural grass and artificial turf areas for furry friends to run and play. The natural grass space is open during spring and summer, while the turf is open year-round. Both include comfy seating and share a water fountain, dog water fountain, and dog-washing station.
