About the Park

This 13-acre energetic community park was the first park built in the city of Hillsboro in the 70's. Today, the park is right next to the Library, the Community Senior Center and the Shute Park Aquatic & Recreation Center providing a wide range of opportunities for all sorts of indoor and outdoor activities and programs. There are a couple picnic shelters and three picnic areas with many tables for large gatherings. The large playground, performance stage, pickle ball court at SHARC and open lawn offer a wide range of options for free play and activities. The park hosts many events during the summer.

Shute Park has picnic shelters and picnic areas that are available for rental. Reservations are taken starting in January of the same year for April 15 - October 15 reservations.
