Planning, directing and leading the activities of the Police Department. The Chief assumes management responsibility for all police services including enforcement of laws, statutes, and ordinances; crime prevention, criminal investigation, emergency response, and any other law enforcement related activity. The Chief of Police engages the community in a collaborative manner to both deliver efficient services and build trusting relationships.

Responsibilities:
In coordination with the Chief of Police, the Deputy Chief of Police oversees all day-to-day Police Department operations. The Deputy Chief of Police adapts laws, statutes, and ordinances as well as professional standards into the policies and procedures that direct department employees.

Responsibilities:
As the department’s core operational component, the Patrol Division delivers essential first-response services and maintains a continuous community presence. The division also oversees the agency’s Training Unit and other specialized assignments.

Responsibilities:
The Investigations Division oversees a range of investigative functions and assignments, as well as the Property and Evidence Unit, Law Enforcement Analytics, the Youth Services (SRO) Program, and the Records Unit.

Services Division Commander
Responsibilities:
The Services Division oversees the department’s Traffic Team, Community Engagement Team, Public Information Team, and other specialized units, including Code Compliance, the Community Impact Team, the Bicycle Team, fleet management, volunteer and mediation programs, special events planning, etc.

Responsibilities:
The Business Operations Branch is responsible for internal business-related matters including budget, payroll, HR liaisons, purchasing, technology, quartermaster/supply, facilities, contracts, grant oversight, and accreditation.
