Meet the People Behind the Badge
Join us inside the Hillsboro Police Department for Community Academy — a series of 12 weekly, evening classes and activities that foster communication and understanding between our agency and the community we serve.
Community members often meet police officers during stressful circumstances. Sometimes, people simply see a uniform and a badge. Community Academy is a place for people to see beyond the badge, interacting with police department members in a positive, engaging environment.
Note: In 2020, the Community Academy, previously known as the Citizens' Academy, was renamed to reflect that it is inclusive in welcoming all residents of Hillsboro.
