We offer no-cost Basic Mediation Training in Spanish for community members, with no obligation to volunteer or participate in our program afterward. While no training sessions are currently scheduled, please check back soon for future updates and opportunities to join.

Mediation services are available in:

Mediation – what is it?

• Incidents that cannot voluntarily be resolved.
• Both parties must participate in a Mandatory mediation at least once.
• The tenant or landlord can initiate mediation by contacting the Community Dispute Resolution Center (CDRC) in their area, or by contacting the MMCRC which can help locate their local CDRC.
• The mediator assigned to the mediation will report back to the MMCRC with the result of the mediation.

What can be mediated?

• Disputes between the landlord and one or more tenants may be initiated by any party.
• Disputes between any two or more tenants, initiated by the landlord or by one or both tenants.

What items can’t be mediated?

• Facility closures
• Facility sales
• Rent increases
• Rent payments or amounts owed.

Conflict Coaching is a one-on-one, confidential conversation with a trained conflict coach who helps you navigate a difficult situation. It’s private, supportive, and tailored to your needs.

During a coaching session, you’ll have space to talk about what’s happening, how it’s affecting you, and what you hope will change. Your coach will help you:

• Understand the conflict more clearly
• Explore different options for handling it
• Practice communication or problem-solving skills
• Build confidence in your next steps

Coaching can take place in person, by phone, or virtually. Many people find that gaining a new perspective or talking things through with a coach can ease tension and help move forward more effectively.

We can assist with a wide range of issues. 

Neighbor Conflicts

We can help with conflicts between neighbors, including issues such as noise, fencing or property line disputes, landscaping or pruning disagreements, parking problems, and more.  

Consumer/Business

Did you utilize the services of a local business to find that your transaction has not been what you wanted? We can facilitate conversations between you, the consumer, and the business to help resolve the problem.

Family Mediation

We can help support your family with communication, including parent and teen mediation and elder mediation to help make decisions about how to provide care for parent or grandparent without causing conflict. 

Landlord/Tenant Issues

Don’t wait to go to court to resolve a problem with your landlord or tenant. We can help you develop solutions to repair the relationship. 

Please note: We can’t help in situations where you’ve received an eviction notice. 

Group Mediations for Neighborhood Communities and Homeowners Associations 

Out trained facilitators can assist with difficult group conversations to reach positive outcomes.

Homeowners Association boards and homeowners can meet in mediation to discuss issues within a neighborhood community.  

Manufactured Home Communities

We support the State of Oregon Manufactured Home Community Resource Center to mediate disputes, as required by 2019 Senate Bill 586. 

We offer free facilitation services to help groups have productive and respectful conversations. Facilitation is useful for neighborhood groups, community organizations, teams, or any group that needs support discussing shared concerns or making decisions together.

A facilitator guides the meeting, keeps the discussion on track, makes sure everyone has a chance to speak, and helps the group stay focused on its goals. Unlike mediation—where two or more people work toward resolving a specific conflict—facilitation supports larger group discussions, planning sessions, or community conversations that may not involve a direct dispute.

Facilitated sessions can take place in person or online and are tailored to the group’s needs. Our role is to create a fair, organized, and comfortable process so groups can communicate clearly and work more effectively together.
