Fats, Oils, and Grease Go in the Garbage

Help keep Fats, Oils, and Grease out of the public sanitary sewer system and reduce the risk of wastewater backing up into your home, streets, parks, or streams. 

Follow These Easy Steps 

Sink screens positioned in sink drains to catch food wasteSink screens placed in all drains to catch food waste. 





Scraping food from a plate into a compost bin or the trashDiscard food scraps from plates, pots, and pans into the trash or compost bin and not down the garbage disposal.





Dry wipe a panWipe pots and dishes with a paper towel prior to dishwashing. 





Grease lid on an aluminum can.

Pour Fats, Oils, and Grease into a covered disposable container, freeze it, and dispose of in trash.
