Call for Student Art: Help Us Create Our 2027 Water Conservation Calendar!
The Hillsboro Water Department is partnering with elementary schools in our service area for a 2027 water-themed calendar project, where K-6th grade students can submit drawings inspired by this year's theme: Little Drops, Big Changes.
Artwork Must
- Be in landscape format, 11 x 8.5 inches.
- Be created using marking pens, colored pencils, acrylic or poster paint, water colors, or crayons.
- Use minimal words, if any, and ensure that they are large and legible.
- Include the artist's name, school, grade, and teacher on the back of the submission or in email.
Submission Details
- Artwork must be submitted by May 15, 2026.
- Mail a physical copy to City of Hillsboro Water Department, 150 East Main Street, Third Floor Hillsboro, OR 97123 or
- Email a scanned copy to Riley.Schleiss@Hillsboro-Oregon.gov
2026 Water Conservation Calendar Available Now
For 19 years, the City of Hillsboro Water Department has partnered with local elementary schools to illustrate a water efficiency themed calendar. The calendar project is a way for students to artistically express what they have learned about being water wise and aware. This year's theme is Welcoming the Willamette. The Willamette Water Supply System is almost ready to provide Hillsboro residents with an additional water source. With water from both the Tualatin and Willamette Rivers, Hillsboro will be ready for the future!
