Protection of public health is the City of Hillsboro Water Department’s number one priority. The water customers drink and use every day is tested regularly to ensure every drop is safe and of the highest quality.

Each year, the Hillsboro Water Department publishes Water Quality Reports - also referred to as Consumer Confidence Reports (CCRs) - for Hillsboro's three community water systems:

  • In-town Water System: Customers are located west of Cornelius Pass Road and south of Highway 26 (Sunset Highway).
  • Upper-system Water System: Customers are located in western Washington County along Hillsboro’s original water service line.
  • Butternut Creek Water System: Customers are located south of SW Tualatin Valley Highway, and north of SW Rosedale Road off SE Butternut Creek Parkway.

The reports detail:

  • The outstanding quality, value, and reliability of Hillsboro's drinking water
  • Information about drinking water sources
  • Levels of any contaminants found
  • Potential health effects of any contaminant detected at levels higher than the health standard
  • Contacts for additional information

Reports are prepared in accordance with the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Federal Safe Drinking Water Act and the Oregon Public Health Division requirements

2020 Reports

The drinking water quality data presented in the 2020 Water Quality Reports are based on January to December 2019 water testing results.
