Immediate Assistance
- Call or text 911 if you or someone else is experiencing a life threatening emergency.
- If you see someone outside you are concerned about, call police non-emergency at 503-629-0111 and request a welfare check.
- Call 211 for help finding shelter, transportation, or other assistance 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Check In With Family, Friends, and Neighbors
Excessive heat significantly increases the potential for heat-related illnesses, particularly for those working or participating in outdoor activities.
Check in with your family, friends, and neighbors — especially young children, older adults, and people with chronic medical problems — as they are more vulnerable to heat-related illness.
Never leave pets or children unattended in vehicles.
More Places to Cool Off
