The purpose of the Finance Committee is to advise the Council on City financial matters, oversee City fiscal audits, review City investment programs and provide recommendations to the Council on City financial policies and actions.
The Finance Committee is made up of three City Councilors who are appointed by the Mayor with the consent of the additional City Council members. The term of their offices are concurrent with their terms served on the City Council.
The three City Councilors also serve on the Audit Committee. The Chair of the Finance Committee is also Chair of the Audit Committee.
